Capelle & Partner is a privately owned business established in 1965 located in the northern part of Nauru island, in the district of Ewa. Founded by Sophie and Desmond Oppenheimer, the original store was not much larger than a shipping container. Today, it is managed by Sean Oppenheimer, and is proudly the largest retail and wholesale business in the Republic of Nauru offering a wide variety of products from foods, household items, office furniture & supplies, fabrics, sporting goods, basic pharmaceutical drugs and many more.

Other services offered with the business on site and other locations are tailoring needs, LPG gas supplies, fully equipped motor vehicle and marine boat workshop for servicing, repairs and maintenance, accommodation, car rental, fine dining (at the Bay Restaurant in Anibare) and game-fishing charters.

Within Capelle & Partner's multi-store complex in Ewa, is the ‘Buns in the Sun Bakery', selling Nauru’s freshest, best quality bread and pastries. Just next door to the Bakery, is the Tropicana Cafe which offers a wide range of fast foods, wraps, sandwiches, burgers, cookies & cakes, hot meals and of course, is known for its freshly brewed coffee.
